Little Giggles Room

We understand that at this stage toddlers maybe want to do things for themselves, are bursting with energy and ideas and the need to explore their environment! We encourage this sense of independence and self identity whilst also being there alongside them at all times. We know that everything that happens in a toddler’s life is meaningful and important, there is always a question about everything and this natural curiosity and sense of wonder is supported daily.

Our toddler room in Willow House Newtownpark Avenue is a fun, wonderful, creative room, full of dancing, singing, baking with plenty of arts and crafts and other activities. It is equipped to help further develop children’s natural interest in the world and find out more about the world around them and to support their individual holistic development underpinned by the Aistear and Siolta early years curriculum. As their speech is developing fast we give the children enough time to say what they want to say and we engage with the children in different situations and fun activities throughout the day. Children are encouraged to be active and we offer lots of fresh air and outdoor play.

Our toddlers will be provided with a little more structure than they previously had in the Wobbler room and we focus on supporting children to build friendships and to work as part of a group and we ensure that children can learn in an environment that is safe for them and gives them the ability to become independent and also to enjoy learning.
