Government Funding Scheme
NATIONAL CHILDCARE SCHEME (NCS)
At Willow House Childcare Newtownpark we are registered with the NCS. This means that any parents registered with us can avail of the subsidy. There are two schemes available to you, the Universal Subsidy and Income Assessed Subsidies.
The Universal subsidy is available to any parents with a child of 3 years or younger. This subsidy is not means tested and provides 50c per hour towards the cost of a registered childcare place for a maximum of 45 hours per week. Note, you can avail of this subsidy for your child after 3 years if you have not registered them with the ECCE scheme (see below).
Income Assessed Subsidies are available to families with children ages between 2years and 15 years. Unlike the Universal Subsidy, the Income Assessed Subsidies is means tested. When applying for this it will take in a variety of factors before calculating your rate. These factors will include your overall family income, how many children are in your family, your child’s age and their educational stage. To see both types of subsidies and to apply for the NCS please visit https://ncs.gov.ie/en/
